The Seeth Designs modified single flame insert starts life as a standard zippo single torch blue flame. We take out the jet nozzle and replace it with our own highly modified brass nozzle that transforms the stock single blue torch into an adjustable single yellow soft flame. Perfect for those who want the look and feel of a zippo, with the reliability of butane.
Q: Why do this?
A: While zippo does make a stock butane yellow flame insert, it uses flints that run out after a number of strikes, and the flame height is non-adjustable. By modifying a single torch insert we keep the piezoelectric ignition and the flame adjustability of the single torch. This means it never needs a flint replacement and you can choose to have a massive 3 in flame all the way down to a fuel saving nub.
Q: How long does a single butane fill last?
A: If stored properly then it will sit in the tank forever and never evaporate. Under regular use with a reasonable half inch flame height, this modified insert will last up to 120, 5 second lights.
